Job Description

We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand‑new facility in Ostrava, and we’re looking for a skilled Engineering Manager to shape the future by developing teams, optimizing assets, managing budgets, and delivering world‑class operational excellence

Responsibilities:

• Enabling the application of lean principles. Application of lean tools: standardized work, 5S visual factory, total productive maintenance, pull systems, value stream mapping, etc.
• Leading engineering in assigned projects and activities, including processes, equipment, work standards and facilities.
• Participating in interviews and the evaluation of new technical employees and assuming responsibility for the ongoing training and support of these plant and group employees.
• Assisting in the ongoing development and improvement of standardized engineering tools and methods.
• Establishing work standards through time studies and other recognized methods.
• Making decisions on the purchase or leasing of capital goods, including forklifts, tools, lifting aids, generators, compressed air systems, shelving, sweepers/gas scrubbers, compressors and various items related to specific projects
  
• Recommending and implementing new and/or improving existing methods and technologies for fault testing.
• Offer management, performing cost analyses and managing contractors and service providers.
• Monitoring the maintenance of equipment and facilities. Institutionalising the TPM methodology in accordance with DPWorld’s corporate standards.
• Managing the project equipment budget and submitting current status reports to the project manager.
• Compliance with the processes and requirements of the synchronised management system.
• Achieving the effectiveness of the synchronised management system by following quality guidelines and achieving corporate goals.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required for this position (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager in management, ideally in logistics or the automotive industry
• Experience in controlling is an advantage
• Good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, Power Point
• Excellent command in Czech and English languages
