In Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions [Portugal], the Engineering Manager is someone that we trust in, and to whom we delegate the successful delivery of a service from planning to ongoing operations. As an Engineering Manager your focus will be managing and supporting the teams at all levels. As a leader, you should have a solid background and leadership skills, so you’ll be prepared to work on the team’s strategy and implementation of valuable ideas, as well as, continuously challenge your team members.
You’ll be focused in:• Acting as a trusted partner for stakeholders; • Aligning activities with business goals and strategic priorities; • Identifying risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities; • Understanding stakeholder’s needs and identify potential commercial leads; • Leading and develop high-performing teams; • Ensuring effective workforce planning aligned with project needs; • Managing team budgets, planning, and forecasting.  In order to succeed you will need:• Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role; • Strong background in technology/software engineering environments;  • Experience in stakeholder management; • Business-oriented mindset and ability to spot commercial opportunities; • Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory); • Availability for occasional travel to Germany and India; • Experience in cross-cultural or international environments is a plus.
