Our award-winning client is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team. We're looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for our expanding plant.

In this pivotal role, you'll manage a diverse team of engineers (Project, Design, and potentially Controls), oversee large-scale capital projects, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Engineering Operations: Oversee all engineering activities within the plant, ensuring alignment with production goals and expansion plans.

• Manage & Develop Teams: Directly manage and mentor a team of Project, Design, and potentially Controls Engineers, as well as external contractors, fostering their growth and professional development.

• Drive Capital Projects: Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale capital projects from conception through commissioning.

• Champion Continuous Improvement: Utilize your process engineering and continuous improvement expertise to identify opportunities and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity on the plant floor.

• Provide Technical Guidance: Offer hands-on technical guidance and support to your team and plant personnel, drawing on your engineering and maintenance experience.

• Foster a Culture of Excellence: Actively coach, mentor, and develop individuals on the plant floor, promoting a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).

• Strong, proven experience in managing large-scale capital projects from start to finish.

• Extensive experience in high-speed manufacturing environments is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience in industries such as paper, packaging, food, consumer products, or textiles.

• Demonstrated experience in project engineering and process engineering, including continuous improvement methodologies.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

• A hands-on leadership style with a strong ability to manage and develop engineering teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring skills.

• Practical understanding and experience with maintenance operations.
