Our Rail Fleet and Maintenance office is looking for an Engineering Lead- Locomotive Electrical to support our Locomotive State of Good Repair refurbishment works.
What will I be doing?
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Technical Leadership: A highly skilled electrical engineer/technician with practical and hands-on in-depth technical knowledge essential to overseeing heavy overhaul and refurbishment of locomotives and diesel engines electrical systems, sub-systems, and components.
Completion of a University Degree or technical diploma in electrical field, plus rail sector or related industry experience, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in the asset class, or related, engineering disciplines or a combination of safety assurance, design, testing and commissioning, operations, and maintenance of comparable railway systems in a comparable role.
P. Eng., designation or C.E.T. certification will be an asset
Knowledgeable in and able to deploy project management principles and practices, including budget and schedule controls and monitoring, review and reporting on overall progress and performance.
Knowledgeable in vendor management to be able to manage development and delivery of externally provided products and services (e.g. negotiate contracts, interpret, compile, and administer contracts).
