This Engineering Lab Technician role supports the product line by performing hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and engineering support activities in a lab environment. Working under moderate supervision, this position contributes to engineering projects through technical experimentation, data collection, equipment diagnostics, and the preparation of reports and documentation. The role plays a key part in helping engineers execute test procedures, resolve equipment issues, and maintain accurate technical information used across multiple engineering disciplines.

This is an onsite role in Melbourne, FL.

What You Will Do

  • This position will support the GLU-2100 product line and other GLU related products. Including testing, troubleshooting, and working CRG's in an engineering lab environment.
  • Works under moderate supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks
  • Performs moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
  • Diagnoses test setups and equipment to resolve malfunctions.
  • Confers with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
  • Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines.
  • Analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats data and design changes.
  • Produces drawings, reports and engineering documentation.
  • Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and setting up test stations.
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with DO-160 minimum operating performance specifications.
  • Knowledge in the operations of basic machine tools required to fabricate test fixtures.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of thermal chambers.
  • Working knowledge in interpreting and/or creating engineering drawings.
  • Experience using soldering equipment with through-hole and SMT components and repairing circuit cards.
  • Experience troubleshooting mixed signal circuit cards.
  • Experience working with CRGs and customer units
  • Experience in an engineering environment, especially aerospace.
  • Experience using and developing LabView programs.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of various test equipment such as: DMM, LCR Meter, Frequency Counter, Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Oscilloscope, Digital & Vector Signal Generator, Pulse Generator, Audio Analyzer, Modulation Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Signal Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Noise Figure Analyzer, Phase Noise Measurement System, Phase Gain Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer, RF Power Sensors, Logic Analyzer, LVDS & Ethernet Switching Devices, J-Tag Emulators, DataTrac Devices

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
