Job Description

As Engineering Intern of the Sparta team, you will be involved in supporting the Department Manager(s) with various projects.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Learn the process of documenting and updating fuel tank drawings
  • Conduct tests under guidance of Design Engineer/ Engineering Manager
  • Document progress of print update task
  • Learn how to apply Lean Manufacturing Techniques (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Cause and Effect Matrix, Single Piece Flow, etc.)
  • Learn about business case analysis and return on investment
  • Participate in production and brainstorming sessions
  • The position will report to the Department Manager(s) on a daily basis.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Engineering and Manufacturing as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Must be currently enrolled or completed degree at an accredited 4-year college with a major in the field of Engineering or Manufacturing and Industrial Technology.
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
  • Proficient computer skills, including SolidWorks, Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Acute attention to detail required.
  • Entry level Mechanical and Technical knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn
