Job Description

Nature and Scope

Own and execute engineering projects with supervision/guidance that include but not limited to developing system efficiencies, CAD design, data collection, data entry and project management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake and successfully complete projects including any of the following: create/update SOPs and P&IDs, develop URS and purchase documents for a capital investment, equipment capability analysis, spare part or size change part organization.
  • May assist in inventing / creating concepts and designs/approaches for new processes
  • Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation
  • Prepare a presentation of project results at the end of the internship.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • 1+ years of college level courses pursuing a degree in an accredited engineering program, required.
  • Ability to work 40 hrs/week during the summer internship program onsite in a manufacturing environment.
  • General computer skills such as Windows and Microsoft Office, required.
  • CAD education or experience, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Physical Environment and Requirements

  • Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves. PPE is essential for the health and safety of employees.
  • Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
