Job Description

• To handlethe shift efficiently.
• Responsible forPlant & Maintenance operations in the hotel
• Smooth runningof D.G. Sets,A/c Systems, WaterSupply System and General Maintenance System.
• Controlling and deputing staffas per the situation and requirements.
• Optimum utilization of available manpower including assigning duties, on the job training andperformance evaluation.
• Keep the Chief Engineer informed of all the activities including Breakdowns, fire &unusual events etc.
• Shift operation of all services & plants
• Monitor staffon shift, tools& machinery, firesafety panels, pumps etc.
• Assist staffto carry out their jobs.
• Liaison with other department in carrying out the aboveduties and assistother department whereever necessary.
• Visit otherdepartments for executing Engineering Tasks
• Regular Inspection of all Plant& Machinery
• Control all the staffand co-ordinate withother departments.
• Indenting/approving quality of engineering materials.
• Carry out duties as specified by Chief Engineer from time to time.
• Supports and initiate programs for the improvement procedures and the reduction of energy and utility costs
• Analyses and monitors energycosts and expenditures for the department.
• Maintains an equipment and machinery recordsystem for the property
• Recommends to the Assistant Chief Engineer, new policies and procedures for a more economical operation and maintenance program
• Interacts and cooperates withHotel guests and outside contractors as directed by his superior
• Assists tradesmen with maintenance and repair whenrequired
• Conducts shiftbriefings to ensurehotel activities andoperational requirements are known.
