Job Objective

The objective is to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for machinery and equipment, ensuring that all machines operate efficiently and safely. This includes conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues promptly to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.

Essential Job Tasks

The objective is to implement Engineering SOPs and guidelines, ensuring that a robust maintenance process is followed. This will guarantee that critical machinery and equipment are maintained at their optimum level, thereby ensuring efficient operations and minimizing downtime.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day engineering tasks, projects, and initiatives as per the direction of the Deputy Engineer/Chief Engineer.
  • Provide solutions to recurring engineering problems in guest floors, kitchens, laundry, banquets, restaurants, and other areas.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of engineering technicians in day-to-day engineering activities.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of guest rooms, electrical, mechanical, kitchen & laundry equipment, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration equipment, audio-visual lighting, and other equipment.
  • Ensure that SOPs and safety guidelines are followed during the execution of work in the hotel premises.
  • Coordinate with vendors for floating BOQs, site visits, preparing comparatives, and assisting the Deputy Engineer/Chief Engineer in the issuance of orders.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions for perennial issues in the hotel.
  • Coordinate with other departments like Housekeeping, Front Office, and Food & Beverage to address engineering issues in their areas.
  • Assist the Deputy Engineer in maintaining audit and maintenance records.
  • Assist in the implementation of FPL and R&M cost mitigation measures.
  • Plan and execute critical shutdowns for engineering services.
  • Monitor and review log books of critical engineering equipment such as Chiller Plant, Boiler, UPS, Transformer, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant engineering statutory compliances in the department.

Required Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / HVAC or other relevant fields

Work Experience

5+ Years of relevant experience in Hospitality Industry with 2+ Years of experience as Team Leader / Shift Incharge

Languages Needed in Position

English
