Overall purpose of role
The Engineering Director – Digital Channels is accountable for engineering leadership and delivery of client‑ and colleague‑facing digital channels across the organization. The role focuses on building, evolving and operating high‑quality web and mobile experiences that are consistent, scalable and secure, leveraging modern front‑end, backend‑for‑frontend and API‑driven architectures.
The role operates in a highly federated environment and requires close collaboration across multiple business units, platforms and technology domains to deliver seamless digital experiences. Operating in a balanced hands‑on and leadership model, the role provides deep technical leadership while leading teams, shaping digital engineering standards and accelerating delivery across web and mobile channels.
