CHG is looking for an Engineering Director to join our Sales Enablement team – running our Data Services teams. The Sales Enablement team supports all CHG subsidiaries by providing enterprise software for our sales and recruiting teams. Our solutions support the full sales and staffing life cycle. As a Director overseeing the Data Services teams, you will lead teams of engineers in the design, development, implementation, test automation, deployment, and maintenance of tools that drive our client, provider, specialty, and jobs pipelines. This role will report to the Vice President of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership to the engineering teams. Lead and manage teams of engineers by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to elevate their competencies and skillsets.
  • Foster a cooperative environment where stakeholders, product management, engineering, design, and other functions work together seamlessly to deliver great products. Encouraging culture of innovation, experimentation, and customer-centric development.
  • Provide technical leadership and insight during the product development process, introducing technical possibilities and constraints that inform product decisions. Understand business objectives and customer pain points and technical challenges to drive innovations that meet market needs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying, and contributing opportunities to leverage these advancements to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Support and guide architectural direction, technology choices, and modular principles for scalable, flexible, secure, and maintainable software systems.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap, managing team skill expertise, and attracting and retaining top engineering talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Advance a culture of continuous learning and improvement, establishing performance metrics and KPIs for the engineering team and track progress towards achieving specified targets and goals.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact product decisions and deliverable commitments.

Qualifications

  • Acumen for taking business requirements to engineering for scalable architecture solutions
  • Excellence in product development with a technical strategy mindset
  • Experience in modernizing platforms, engineering operations, data orchestration, and AI driven workflows
  • Experienced senior software engineering leadership
  • Strong leadership skills including coaching, development, team building, conflict resolution, collaboration, and leading through change
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including good technical writing and interpersonal skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in product development leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing software engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with healthcare staffing platforms preferred.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $163,700 -- $316,500 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
