Sedgman is proud to offer the position of Engineering Coordinator to join our team in Brisbane. In this role you will provide shop detailing delivery management and coordination through design engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the review, checking of design and shop detail drawings. Ensure drawings adhere to AS1100 or relevant standards, Sedgman standards and relevant codes of practise
Advise on any potential fabrication issues that may arise with the current design
Be proactive in exploring new procedures within Sedgman or contractors to achieve time and cost saving and delivering value to our clients
Work in conjunction with all Sedgman entities in the development of project budget and schedules for contractor’s works
Actively engaged with contractors and chair weekly contractor progress meetings.
Report and communicate with all stakeholders regarding progress, potential risks to schedules or budgets
Comply with the Sedgman change management process for contractor’s shop detail drawings
Qualifications:
Associate Diploma in Engineering / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent but not required
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Minimum 10 years of hands-on fabrication experience or minimum 4 years’ experience in shop detailing/management
Fabrication and Welding and Paint
Skills in MS Office suite, MS Project, Navisworks
Contract Management experience
Experience writing contractor scopes of work and development of budgets
