We are looking for an Engineering Business Operations Coordinator to join the Buildings Engineering Business Center, reporting to the Business Center Practice Leader (BCPL) in our Austin office.
The Engineering Business Operations Coordinator supports Engineering Leadership across Austin and San Antonio by providing business operations, marketing, pursuit, and business development coordination that advances the growth objectives of the engineering practice.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-oriented professional interested in developing expertise in business development, marketing, and growth operations within the engineering industry.
Your Key Responsibilities
Proposal, Marketing & Pursuit Support
• Prepare, organize, and maintain project sheets, resumes, qualification packages, proposals, presentations, and other pursuit materials.
• Support development of marketing collateral highlighting engineering capabilities and project experience.
• Maintain consistency with Stantec branding standards.
Pipeline & CRM Coordination
• Maintain CRM data and opportunity pipeline information.
• Generate pipeline reports and support business development reviews.
• Coordinate market intelligence and opportunity tracking.
Business Operations Support
• Track business development budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinate sponsorships, memberships, Benevity requests, and reporting.
Client Engagement & Market Presence
• Coordinate client events, conferences, sponsorships, networking, and community engagement.
• Track participation and follow-up actions.
Market Research & Opportunity Support
• Research market trends, clients, funding opportunities, and emerging projects.
• Assist leadership with identifying growth opportunities.
Team Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering Leadership and Business Development.
• Support strategic growth initiatives across the engineering practice.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
• 2–5 years of relevant business operations, marketing, proposal coordination, or administrative experience.
• Experience in AEC, engineering, construction, consulting, or professional services preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience supporting engineering, architecture, construction, consulting, or professional service organizations.
• Experience with proposals, CRM systems, event coordination, budgets, sponsorships, or reporting preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for extended periods of time.
