An exciting opportunity has arisen for four Apprentice Engineers to join our team, operating on a day shift.
Successful candidates will complete a structured rotation across four key departments, gaining broad experience and developing core engineering skills throughout the programme.

Most of the apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Person specification:
An interest in engineering as a subject and the desire to learn and develop
Experience of engineering activities are advantageous but not necessary. This may include:
Hobbies or voluntary work
Previous work experience
Engineering related school subjects
Able to demonstrate a commitment to personal learning – this could include a hobby, project, or additional qualification
Able to adapt with a proactive approach to ways of working
Willingness to work as part of a team

Provider: South Devon College
Qualification: Level 3
Duration: Approx. 42 months
Start date: The next start date will be September 2026; however, the successful candidates could join Howmet prior to September to begin to build a meaningful portfolio of evidenced learning
