A little more about your role

You will be responsible for the planning, design, coordination and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment works, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs and associated mechanical and civil infrastructure. The role requires a strong technical background, the ability to manage project workstreams independently, and coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams

You will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake hydraulic calculations, pump station design and pipeline sizing.
  • Develop technical specifications, reports and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, process and structural interfaces.
  • Review engineering designs and provide quality assurance.
  • Support procurement, contractor engagement and technical evaluations.
  • Undertake construction monitoring, site inspections and commissioning support.
  • Manage budgets, schedules and project risks for allocated work packages.
  • Mentor junior engineers, technicians and graduates.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

About You

We're looking for someone who is equally passionate about technical excellence and digital innovation. You'll bring:

  • A degree (BEng/BSc) in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • A registration with ECSA Candidate Engineer or Professional (preferred)
  • A valid driver's licence

Experience Requirements

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of:
    • Water Treatment Works (WTW)
    • Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW)
    • Bulk water pipelines and rising mains
    • Sewer reticulation and outfall systems
    • Pump stations and booster pump stations
    • Reservoirs and storage facilities
    • Desalination and water reuse projects (advantageous)
  • Experience in design reviews, tender documentation, construction support and commissioning.

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of:

  • Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Revit
  • Analysis software
    • EPANet/ WaterCAD
    • Bentley HAMMER / HammerCAD
    • iDAS
  • WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS (advantageous)
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Microsoft Office Suite
