The pay range is $75,400.00 - $135,700.00

As an Engineer, you serve as a technical specialist delivering the engineering that powers the product. You develop keen insight into the technical architecture and design to deliver robust and scalable software components. You constantly demonstrate the depth of your expertise by solving engineering problems. You are passionate about the quality of software and balance between speed of delivering new features and robustness of the software components you implement. You can handle operational issues with little or no oversight. You actively review code to ensure the software quality and functional accuracy is maintained across the team. You are keen to learn the design and architecture of the product and participate in ceremonies that can influence both.
The Taxes, Fees & Finance Enablement team builds, scales, and maintains the technology that enables Target to accurately calculate, manage, report, and comply with tax and fee obligations across the enterprise. We process taxes and fees across Target's sales channels, supporting high transaction volumes and complex data across stores, digital, procurement, finance, and other enterprise systems.

As an Engineer on the Taxes, Fees & Finance Enablement team, you will contribute to critical applications and services across Target’s Tax Technology landscape. You will work with high-volume transactional systems, complex data flows, third-party tax platforms, and enterprise integrations while helping modernize existing applications and architecture.
You will partner with Tax, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure our systems provide timely, complete, accurate, and reliable tax information. You will help improve resiliency and scalability, incorporate appropriate controls, and make technology decisions with lifecycle management and total cost of ownership in mind.
You will apply and continue to build your engineering skills by solving technical problems and delivering high-quality software. You will balance the delivery of new features with writing reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code. You will troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with little or no oversight, participate in code reviews, and contribute to maintaining software quality and functional accuracy across the team. You will continue to deepen your understanding of the product, system design, and architecture while actively participating in engineering discussions and team ceremonies.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
