Your Job

  • Execute sourcing activities for Molex Shanghai with focusing on RFQs, supplier development, and cost optimization.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives including dual sourcing and digitalization projects.
  • Ensure timely and accurate quotation analysis to meet key stakeholders’ expectations.


What You Will Do

•Manage RFQ analysis and cost breakdown for outsourcing/insourcing and transfer projects.

•Develop and qualify new suppliers for critical categories.

•Support negotiations for cost, delivery, and quality terms.

•Drive implementation of digital tools and vendor scorecard.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and delivery issues.

•Maintain supplier performance metrics and support continuous improvement.

SCOPE:

Responsible for sourcing execution impacting Molex Shanghai outsourcing spend, ensuring supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and alignment with Molex’s strategic sourcing objectives.

EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:•Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering.

PREFERRED:•Knowledge of major manufacturing process including stamping, molding, plating and assembly etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:•5+ years in sourcing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing industry.

•Experience with RFQ handling and supplier development.

PREFERRED:•Familiarity with category management principles and cost analysis.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:•Strong analytical skills for cost breakdown and quotation evaluation.

•Effective communication and negotiation skills.

•Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

•Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and digital sourcing tools.

•Fluent in Business English, with strong verbal and written communication skills

•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

PREFERRED:•Category Management Knowledge (strategic sourcing, supplier segmentation, cost optimization)

•Technical Understanding of Manufacturing Processes (busbar stamping, plating, powder coating, and insert molding processes, etc.)

•Experience with digitalization tools and data analytics for supplier performance.

•Supplier development and relationship management skills.

•Cross-functional collaboration experience with engineering, quality, and PM teams.

•Negotiation expertise with familiarity in TCO principles.

•Continuous improvement mindset. Lean or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

•Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, preferably Power BI

OTHER:•Ability to travel up to 20%
