Join Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as an Engineer, R&D Software Engineering (f/m/d) in Estenfeld and help develop innovative software solutions that support clinical research and accelerate the delivery of life-changing therapies to patients worldwide. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of software products while working closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. Your work will directly impact the quality, reliability, and performance of technologies used across global clinical trials.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and support software applications across multiple platforms using established development standards and best practices
  • Work within an agile development environment to deliver high-quality software features and enhancements
  • Contribute to software architecture discussions and support the evolution of products and development processes
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical challenges and deliver project milestones
  • Participate in planning and execution of software development activities in partnership with technical leaders and managers
  • Conduct code reviews to promote knowledge sharing, maintain code quality, and support continuous improvement
  • Partner with Software Quality Engineering to build solutions that support automated testing and seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle
  • Utilize source code management and work item tracking tools to support efficient software delivery
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with other business functions as needed

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and development frameworks
  • Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications
  • Knowledge of source code management tools and work item tracking systems
  • Understanding of common software design patterns and best practices
  • Experience with unit testing and testable software design approaches
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to complex technical projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic understanding of risk management concepts
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies is an advantage
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud-based software solutions is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Low to no travel required
