As an Engineer – Product Modeling & Digital Engineering, you will play a key role in enabling product development through advanced CAD engineering and digital engineering solutions. You will work closely with global product design teams to create, modify, and manage high-quality product definitions that support innovation, digitalization, and faster product development. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your Siemens NX expertise while collaborating across business units to deliver scalable engineering solutions and drive value through digital transformation.

Our Team

You will be part of the Product Modeling & Digital Engineering (PM&DE) team within Global Engineering Solutions (GES), a shared engineering organization based at the Global Technology Center in Bangalore. Our team partners with product engineering groups across Molex to provide product-definition expertise, CAD engineering support, and digital engineering solutions that enable efficient product development and accelerate innovation across the enterprise.

What You Will Do

• Support global product-development initiatives by creating and maintaining accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with product engineers and cross-functional teams to transform engineering requirements into robust digital product definitions.
• Contribute to product development, design modifications, concept development, reverse engineering, and legacy-data modernization activities.
• Drive engineering-data quality and integrity through effective use of Siemens NX, Teamcenter, ECTR, and related PLM systems.
• Support digital transformation initiatives, including CAD-data migration and engineering process improvements.
• Deliver high-quality engineering outputs that meet customer requirements, company standards, and project timelines.
• Partner with business-unit engineering teams to develop fit-for-purpose product modeling solutions.
• Participate in technical reviews, project discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering effectiveness.
• Identify project risks, communicate challenges proactively, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, learning, collaboration, and value creation while supporting Molex product-development objectives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• One to two years of product design or CAD engineering experience for bachelor's degree holders, or three or more years of relevant experience for diploma holders.
• Hands-on experience using Siemens NX for 3D modeling and engineering drawing creation.
• Experience working with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ECTR, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in engineering drawings.
• Experience creating and modifying CAD models, assemblies, and engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional engineering teams.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience supporting product development, design modifications, reverse engineering, or parametric remastering projects.
• Proficiency with advanced Siemens NX capabilities, including part families, expression-based modeling, reference sets, arrangements, and sheet-metal design.
• Experience with CAD-data migration, engineering-data management, and digital engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with engineering-document control processes and product lifecycle management best practices.
• Exposure to NX-Teamcenter migration activities or other enterprise PLM implementation projects.
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, fishbone analysis, and cause-and-effect analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies.
• Strong customer-focus and stakeholder-management skills when supporting engineering teams.
