Department Process Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, validate, and document all processes related to blade manufacturing.
  • Develop optimized process flows to ensure resource efficiency and eliminate backflow (Pull System).
  • Create and maintain Work Instructions (WI) and ensure adherence on the shop floor with daily feedback
  • Define tooling requirements, validate tools, and hand over to Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams.
  • Conduct material trials to reduce blade manufacturing costs.
  • Monitor curing processes and implement cycle time (CT) improvements.
  • Work closely with the Process Senior Manager to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop continuous improvement projects to enhance CT, man-hours, waste reduction, material consumption, power, water, and 3M (Man, Machine, Material).
  • Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Knowledge about 5S, TPM, TQM, Lean manufacturing
  • Conduct RCA for defects and implement optimized solution to eliminate the defects.
  • Provide Glass Fabric CPT Nesting for Prefabs, Shell, and Finishing.
  • Support SCM by providing technical write-ups for customs clearance of items.
  • Update all WI according to change management requirements.
  • Handle change management: raising, implementing, and validating Change Requests (CR).
  • BOM validation and maintenance in SAP.
  • Provide technical training and skill development to production teams to achieve required competency levels.
  • Manage a team of Process Associates and oversee design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in daily shop floor review meetings.
  • Ensure all safety and quality standards are met throughout the process.
  • Work closely with the change management team to ensure compliance.
  • SAP & Teamcenter (TC) experience for process documentation and BOM management.
  • Prepare detailed reports for material trials and process improvements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering / MBA

Experience: 2–6 years of progressive experience in Wind Industries.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in process simulation and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen Plus)
