Job Description

About the role:

Provides process engineering support, including implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment. Supports the full deployment of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives at the site. Responsible for process design, equipment specification, and process optimization to improve performance, cost efficiency, and product quality. Evaluates and implements new technologies and procedures to enhance manufacturing operations. Leads and contributes to projects, managing cross-functional teams, contractors, and external vendors. Develops equipment and service specifications, generates RFPs, and supports vendor selection. Ensures compliance with applicable standards and is accountable for meeting customer quality expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with process, corporate, and plant engineers, as well as cross-functional teams (quality, maintenance, operations, and commercial) to ensure alignment on production and quality objectives
  • Develop engineering documentation, including reports, flow diagrams, and performance charts
  • Design, install, commission, and optimize production processes and equipment, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Apply engineering principles (mass, heat, and momentum transfer) to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations
  • Support process validation, line trials, R&D activities, and product commercialization efforts
  • Improve plant efficiency, output, safety, and cost performance while ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other tools to design and optimize line layouts and process modifications
  • Manage engineering projects end-to-end, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, coordinate contractors and vendors, and oversee procurement processes (RFPs, vendor selection)
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and company standards across all projects and operations
  • Oversee stakeholder communication, including regular project updates and alignment meetings
  • Provide training, documentation, and technical support to ensure successful project execution and sustainable operational performance

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) with at least 5-10 years relevant design and project management experience.
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office and Project software, Windows Operating System, AutoCAD, and similar design software.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversee the work of contractors and 3rd party engineering providers.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Travel: Occasional 10% to 30% based on assigned project locations.
  • Must be able to freely move around the entire facility.
  • Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.
