About this opportunity:

We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our Ericsson team as a Senior Engineer OSS. This role involves providing end-to-end Level 2 technical support for issues arising in customer’s telecom networks. The engineer will work across OSS/ENM platforms, Telco Cloud, NFVI, SDN, virtualization, and containerized environments, ensuring high service availability, performance, and strict adherence to SLA/WLA commitments in a 24x7 operational setup. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in ENM/OSS, cloud infrastructure, and network management.

What you will do:

  • Provide L2 technical support for managed services customers, handling trouble tickets and change requests as per SLA/WLA.
  • Perform hardware and software-level troubleshooting on OSS platforms including ENM/ENIQ and Legacy OSS
  • Carry out performance monitoring, PM reporting, and NBI-level troubleshooting across ENM/ENIQ/Legacy OSS-RC
  • Manage customized business objects, templates, and PM-related reports across OSS.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and third-party vendors for 3PP hardware and software support.Maintain and manage Telco Cloud infrastructure, including Ericsson NFVI and SDN environments.
  • Work on VM-based cloud platforms using Red Hat OpenStack or Mirantis, with hands-on experience on KVM hypervisors.
  • Operate and support hyperscale hardware platforms such as Ericsson HDS8000, BSP8100, Dell, and HPE servers.
  • Manage and troubleshoot cloud storage solutions
  • Monitor network and infrastructure performance
  • Perform fault correlation, impact analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive actions.
  • Handle system configuration, PM files, and log analysis for VM-based cloud solutions on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure availability and perform capacity management including scale-in, scale-out, vertical, and horizontal scaling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share knowledge to enhance overall team capability.

The skills you bring:

  • Hands on experience of Ericsson ENM/ENIQ
  • Understanding Network Management, Security Management, Fault Management, Performance Management, Backup Management on NMS/OSS
  • Understanding and hands on Linux RHEL/CentOS, Windows Enterprise Server
  • Understanding and hands on SQL Query, Having DBMS experience (Sybase IQ, Vertica, PostgreSQL)
  • Hands on experience Unix/Shell/Python scripting
  • HP Rack Mounted Server/ Blade Servers/ Enclosure Hardware knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with VM-based cloud operations and maintenance using OpenStack (certification is an added advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of networking technologies such as switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Basic troubleshooting and hands on storage (EMC, Dell Unity, HP MSA)
  • Experience on Ericsson NFVI and SDN
  • Installation Ericsson ENM/ENIQ patches/packages experience is a plus
  • Container, Kubernetes knowledge is a plus
  • with exposure to multi-vendor environments such as Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, and Cisco is plus

Education

  • Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunication, or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 4 - 8 years of experience in telecom OSS, cloud, NFVI, and SDN environments.
    Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson ENM/ENIQ/Legacy OSS-RC.
  • Good understanding of telecom network technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and Core networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer-first mindset, and ability to work in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
