Job Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the design, development, and validation of rubber injection moulds and associated fixtures, ensuring alignment with product requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and global tooling standards.

Initiate and manage mould and fixture requests within the VENION system, including accurate creation, documentation, and tracking of tooling orders.

Monitor and follow up on all tools throughout the complete manufacturing lifecycle, from design release through fabrication, trials, and final acceptance at supplier facilities, to ensure adherence to committed timelines.

Ensure mould and fixture quality through structured inspections, supplier audits, and trial evaluations, verifying compliance with defined technical specifications, including tolerances related to rubber flow, venting, curing, and part ejection.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Europe and the Americas, including engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment on tooling requirements and project milestones.

Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment, managing tight deadlines, parallel activities, and frequent changes in priorities while maintaining delivery and quality objectives.

Manage global tool inventory and availability, ensuring accurate tracking of moulds and fixtures delivered to India plants as well as global locations supplied from India.

Willingness to travel frequently within India and internationally (Europe and the Americas) as required for supplier coordination, tool follow-up, inspections, trial support, and incorporation of manufacturing feedback from plant operations.

Cooperation and extension of design guidelines. Support of internal Projects, etc.

Design of Vulcanization proto molds/ tools and devices for rubber to metal parts.

Improvement/modification of existing vulcanization moulds and devices.

Placing and monitoring of design tasks performed by tool manufacturers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Minimum 3 Years Diploma (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering)

3~5 Yrs

Experience in Tool room is a must with knowledge of CNC/VMC machining process, wire cut & EDM.

NX Unigraphics software is desired.

Experience in Tool design department in rubber/plastic industry is desired.

Knowledge about the Process of Rubber injection molding is desired

Experience of working on Teamcenter is desired.
