Our Waihi Operation in the North Island of New Zealand is an underground gold mine. A recent consent for the Waihi North Project, a new mine to be developed 6km north of the existing operation has provided a long-term extension of mine life providing our 400 staff and contractors, and the people of Waihi, an assurance that we plan to be here for the long-term.

Enjoy an unbeatable beach side residential mine location, while working an 8/6 roster. You will join a team primarily responsible for all aspects related to stope production in the underground mine.
The Engineer – Mining is responsible for the delivery of technical engineering functions that support the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the underground mine. The role is accountable for the preparation and management of production and development designs, short-term mine planning, ventilation planning, and the assessment and management of interactions with historic workings. Through the application of sound engineering principles and continuous improvement practices, the position ensures mining activities are planned and executed to optimise safety, productivity, resource recovery, and operational performance.
