The Senior Lean Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and ongoing development of Belden Suzhou's Lean operation system. By effectively coordinating across all plant departments, this position spearheads continuous improvement initiatives, strategically utilizing Lean principles and tools to optimize overall performance and elevate operational efficiency. This position will also support Lean improvement projects of other Belden plants across the APAC region.
You will make an impact in the following way:
• Manage and develop the factory's Lean system, facilitating daily Lean meetings at production sites and ensuring the effective implementation of the Lean framework. Assist the Senior Lean Manager in sustaining and enhancing the Lean Daily Management System within the plant.
• Implement Kaizen activities using a variety of Lean production tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide comprehensive training to plant employees on Lean systems and tools, empowering them to contribute effectively to improvement initiatives.
• Establish and enforce 5S standards throughout the plant. Promote 5S implementation, conduct regular audits, and drive continuous improvement in 5S levels across all departments.
• Lead quick changeover initiatives by analyzing and optimizing changeover processes. Set quick changeover standards and work towards reducing changeover times to enhance production flexibility.
• Collect and analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data to identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance equipment utilization and reduce downtime, thereby improving OEE levels.
• Manage plant layout to optimize space utilization, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce material handling times.
• Administer and implement an employee rationalization suggestion system. Encourage employee participation, evaluate suggestions for feasibility and impact, and implement effective suggestions to drive continuous improvement.
• support Lean improvement projects of other Belden plants across the APAC region.

What you will bring:
• A minimum of three years' hands-on experience in Lean or Industrial Engineering-related work within a manufacturing environment.
• A Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Good spoken English and proficiency in reading and written English.
• Familiarity with Office software and other relevant tools for data analysis and presentation.
• An outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams, with a determined mindset to drive projects forward and achieve results.
