This position serves as an Engineer in the Engineering Division of the Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority (CPRA). The incumbent will provide engineering and technical support for coastal restoration and flood protection projects in Louisiana, including in-house design work and development of construction documents. This position also assists with bidding, construction administration, and environmental permitting throughout project implementation.
The CPRA is established as the single state entity with authority to articulate a clear statement of priorities and to focus development and implementation efforts to achieve comprehensive coastal protection for Louisiana.

NOTE:
This is a temporary position to be utilized while the incumbent is securing a Louisiana Engineer Intern certificate. Permanent status shall be denied to incumbents occupying this position.

Compensation: The maximum salary for the Engineer 5 is $126,256 annually.
There are special bi-weekly entrance rates established for this position:
Engineer Intern 1 $2,115.20
Engineer Intern 2 $2,263.20
Engineer 3 $2,671.20
Engineer 4 $2,952.00
Engineer 5 $3,158.40
