Location Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at One Penn Plaza, 35th and 36th Floors, New York, NY 10119.

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer III is responsible for delivering end-to-end system development and maintenance for complex technology systems within assigned client groups, business units, or corporate departments.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Develop medium to large complex customer technology platforms and architectures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and graphic designers to analyze change requests and evaluate enhancements.
  • Develop and perform system testing, resolve defects, and validate results.
  • Aid in integration activities with other IT departments.
  • Code and maintain complex information system components.
  • Mentor team members on coding standards and perform code reviews.
  • Build, test, and validate statistical and machine learning models.
  • Contribute to business operation by performing basic analyses, preparing data and documenting results.
  • Work with others to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Maintain active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholder to develop business requirements. Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
  • Three (3) years of Information Technology (IT) experience, or related experience.

Experience Requirements:

Three (3) years of required Information Technology (IT) or related experience must include:

  • Large Language Models (LLM)
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Extracting and analyzing metadata and clinical data from medical charts or notes
  • Machine Learning (ML) model development
  • Tableau
  • Python
  • SAS
  • Snowflake
  • AWS
  • Statistics
  • Data engineering tools and technologies including PySpark, Hadoop, Impala, and Kubeflow
  • Healthcare insurance industry experience
