Due to nature of the sector this role, you will be required to undertake security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder only and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with a test engineer to join one of our live projects in our central government business unit.

This role is ideal for someone with some prior commercial test engineering or test analyst experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress their career.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, execute and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test scripts to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform exploratory, regression, integration and user acceptance testing across multiple client applications and environments.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Ranorex to improve test coverage, efficiency and repeatability.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, prioritise and track defects using Jira, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.Execute testing activities within AWS-hosted environments, validating application functionality, performance and deployment outcomes.
• Contribute to test planning, estimation, reporting and risk assessment activities across multiple consultancy projects and client engagements.
Experience required:
• Commercial experience in aTest Analyst or Test Engineer role.
• Strong understanding of manual testing principles, including functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
• Experience using Jira or similar defect management and test tracking tools.
• Exposure to test automation tools, ideally Ranorex, with the ability to create, execute and maintain automated test scripts.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments, collaborating closely with developers, business analysts and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, preferably AWS and experience testing applications deployed within cloud environments.
Nice to Have:
• Experience working within a consultancy, client-facing or multi-project environment.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Relevant testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Level).
