Engineer II, Quality Engineering
The Role:
Our site in Hillsboro, ORisseekingaEngineerII, Quality Assurance Engineeringto join our team.This role willsupport the development and execution of processes to ensure products and processes meet established standards. This role applies engineering fundamentals to perform data analysis,source and qualify new metrology tools and methods,investigate quality issues, and implement corrective actions. This role will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhances process capability, and helpsmaintaincompliance with internal procedures and industry requirements.
WhatYou’llDo:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols andmaintaina safe working environment for all laboratory staff.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies andmaintainingadequate stock levels.
Partner with the Engineering, Procurement, and Materials teams to ensure qualityof,drive process improvements for, and control inventory of critical raw materials.
Develop working knowledge of all elements of lab systems to be the process expert in lab metrology, procedures, and best practices
Develop, improve,and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory resultsand documentationin accordance withregulatory requirements.
Support the Quality Manager with scheduling of testing andanalysesof customer technical requests.
Review test results and analyses of final laboratory reports
Participate in regular global meetingsand internal initiativessuch as Problem Solving, Change Management, Internal Audits, Project Development, Product Support, and Development Programsto share best-known methods andadvance organizational goals.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.
Work with lab and manufacturing personnel to adjust production batches and resolve quality issues.
Investigate and address quality complaints,identifyingcauses and implementing corrective actions, including process improvements to enhance agreement on customer and production needs.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by conducting data validation, regular audits, and implementing data quality checks
Develop and publish key performance metrics for the health of theEntegrisQualityecosystemforthe Hillsboro plant.
What We Seek:
3+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’sdegree;or1yearsand aMaster’sdegree;or equivalent work experience.
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality assurance tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean principles)Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
Demonstrated successinteracting withcustomersand the ability to transfer technical information.
Align internal and external stakeholders using data and adaptingstyle todifferingaudiences andadvisingothers onhow to solvecomplexproblems
Experience consistently improving processes and applying quality tools and concepts consistently required for these improvements.
Ability to assessunusual circumstances and use sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques toidentifyrootcausesor variances Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach.Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA's, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments,causeand effect diagrams, 8D problem solvingmethodology
Highownership and self-starter who canleadhigh-impactactivities anddriveproject outcomes.
Experienced with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Proficiencyin statistical software such as Minitab or JMP. Experience withcamLine,laboratory information management systems (LIMS)SampleManager,EtQ, and/or SAPispreferred.
Knowledgeable orexperiencewith Optical Comparator, CMM Measurement equipment, automated vision systems, calipers, gage blocks, mechanical test equipment.
Proven experience in a manufacturingorlaboratory setting
Strong understanding of laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO) relevant to laboratory operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skillsEnthusiastic learner and continuous improvement mindset.
This operation runs 24/7/365. Support for the team on this schedule may require flexibility outside of normal business hours.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
