Engineer II, Market Technical Support (Field Applications)

The Role:Engineer II,MTS (Field Applications)


TheMTS engineeridentifiesindustrytrends to propose innovative and novel products Andthe promotion of existing products, and the investigation of new applications for existing products through an understanding of the customer base and direct communication between the customer, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments. And resolve the issuesat fieldbased on the products and applicationknowledges

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

1Identifyingindustry trend and dynamic,Product Development

  • Serves as the liaison between research and development and the customer toidentifynew product opportunities.

  • Researchesandidentifiespotential technologies to be adapted to applications in our markets andbringstechnologies to the attention of the businesses. 

  • Assistsincreationof product specifications for new products andresearchesmarkets needs andpotentials.

  • Develops test methods specific to the use of products and their applications, including the design, specification,buildingand maintenance of test equipment.

  • Assistsnew product development teams to design, plan, execute and present experiments and data.
    Performs tests on products returned to Entegris from customers and makes improvement recommendations.

  • Plans and coordinates beta site test programs.

2. Technical Sales Support

  • Provides technical sales support for targeted territories and/or markets requiring concentrated support to capture ormaintainbusiness. 

  • Visitscustomers before, during and after the introduction of new products to educate the market and pursue initial sales opportunities. 

  • Provides,presentsand interprets design,applicationand service information. 

  • Supports Business as directed and providesa directcustomer contact in situations requiring concentrated technical andapplicationssupport. 

3.   Technical Leadership

  • Researchesandmaintainsexpert technical knowledge of products and applications. 

  • Researchescompetitive product comparisons to support the sales of new and existing products. 

  • Collaborates with product management and marketing communications to write technical literature, white papers, manuals, datasheetsand related product information. 

  • Supports product training programs internally and externally. 

  • Resolves the issuesat fieldwith production and application knowledge. 

4.   Process Management

  • Analyzes and implements process improvements that positively influence customer satisfaction.

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):

  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to customers (both internal and external)

  • Strong problem-solving skills (issues containment, root cause analysis, corrective action.

  • Capacity to understand specific technical requirements as well as sound product knowledge

  • Able toidentifyproblems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing techniques

  • Activelyacquiredmore complex techniques

  • Identifyindustry trendand dynamic

  • Proficiencyin use of Excel,Wordand PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel locally and internationally

  • Travel Availability: Available for any other foreign country

  • Language Ability: Good English

  • AbilitytoutilizeCAD/CFD/Minitab is not mandatory but preferred.

Education / Experience

  • More than 3 years of experience in the Semiconductor industryBachelor’s Degree in Engineeringor highly related field
