The primary purpose of this position is to perform work which involves general engineering methods and tools; but you may also utilize more advanced technologies and engineering concepts while you are developing in your role as an engineer in the medical device industry. Position Scope / Summary
The Technical Officer/Configuration Specialist is responsible for managing the configuration of new items, drawings, BOM, routers, cross reference, material specifications, workmanship standards, and all associated documentation required for Oracle part configurations. He/She is responsible to assist and drive NPI activities including Quick turn and standard NPI orders.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:-
Configuration of items, drawings, BOM, routers, customers cross reference, material specifications, workmanship standards, while completing unit of measure conversions, cross references, and attachments for new parts within Oracle.
Manage the maintenance of existing items, BOM’s, Routers, unit of measure conversions, cross references, and attachments within Oracle.
Review and analyze customer supplied drawings and specifications and revision to specifications for impact on internal specifications and revise internal documentation accordingly.
Work directly with engineering and quality to generate and maintain Process Control Documents, Engineering Change Orders, purchasing specifications and drawings.
Manage the maintenance of Oracle Departments and Resources Assist finance in proactively identifying and correcting variances in BOM’s and Routers to maintain standard cost accuracy.
Work with Customer Solutions Team and / or customers to obtain any necessary information for accurate item configuration Work with Engineering, Quality, and Operations Teams to quickly identify any customer requirements that are outside of current manufacturing capability.
Drive and assist NPI Team in the configuration of Quick Turn items, other improvement and/ or troubleshooting activities, as needed.
Work with Engineering to drive NPI activities and update NPI board. Work with Customer Operations or Customer Service Representatives to execute customer requirements.
Assist as needed in standard maintenance Support work related to analysis of business case and technical data for new program including Quote on time delivery.
Complies with all work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, environmental compliance, and Lake Region Medical Quality Management System.
