Responsibilities:
·Design and develop custom AI‑powered applications that operationalize data science outputs and AI models into secure, scalable, user‑facing solutions.
·Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to consume, integrate, and productionize AI models, prompts, and confidence logic into conversational and workflow‑based applications.
·Implement application‑level orchestration, including conversational flows, escalation logic, confidence thresholds, and handoffs to human support when AI certainty is low.
·Develop and maintain backend and frontend components for AI applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and user experience across supported channels.
·Integrate AI applications with approved enterprise systems and data sources (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, governed knowledge repositories) while enforcing access controls and data governance requirements.
·Enable logging, telemetry, monitoring, and feedback loops to support solution observability, continuous improvement, and business performance measurement.
·Partner with IT, Platform, and Security teams to ensure AI applications meet Textron infrastructure, security, compliance, and Responsible AI standards prior to and after deployment..
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Years of Experience:

Software Knowledge:
·Experience with cloud ‑based development and AI platforms, with Azure preferred, and familiarity deploying and operating applications in modern cloud environments.
·Working knowledge of data platforms and analytics environments (cloud ‑native or equivalent) used to consume AI model outputs, predictive insights, and governed enterprise data.
·Proficiency with modern application development tools and environments, such as Visual Studio Code or comparable IDEs, used for building and maintaining production applications.
·Experience using source control and collaborative development practices, including Git ‑based repositories (e.g., GitHub or equivalent), supporting versioning, code reviews, and team ‑based development.
·Familiarity integrating applications with enterprise business systems (such as CRM, ERP, or service platforms) to embed AI outputs into operational workflows.
Additional Requirements:
·Demonstrated experience in software application development, ideally building and supporting production ‑grade systems in an enterprise environment.
·Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI and application development, such as Python (preferred), C# / ASP.NET, Java, or equivalent languages.
·Experience with web ‑based application development, including APIs, services, and modern web technologies used to deliver user ‑facing or system ‑to ‑system solutions.
·Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts, including querying, data integration, and interaction with enterprise data platforms.
·Familiarity with software development best practices, including code versioning, testing, documentation, and collaborative development in team environments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
