Job DetailsJob Location: Woodland, WA 98674Salary Range: $82,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalaryPosition Summary:
This position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
Conceptual design of new products and ideas to improve existing products
Assisting with work within STC Minor Change Agreement to maintain existing legacy product data
Assist with creating and tracking schedules using Microsoft Project, or equivalent
Manage small projects from initial drawing release to liaison support and product delivery
Begin maintaining metrics to track budget and schedule requirements
Assist with managing and maintaining schedules
Assist with managing components of R&D projects
Assist with prototype construction and testing
Assist with the creation of R&D proposals for U.S. government and private industry funding
Assist with creating and presenting concepts/products to internal and external customers
Create test plans, conduct testing and documenting results
Product definition and requirements development
Creating and validating new designs (modeling/analyzing/drafting/BOM creation)
Materials research and selection to support design requirements
Qualification test plan/report creation and management
Manufacturing liaison support
Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met
Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
Working knowledge of FAA and MIL testing standards
Experience with FAA and military certification
Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience in SolidWorks and Enterprise PDM
Working knowledge of aerospace materials and standards
Working knowledge of structural testing preferred
Education, Certifications and Experience:
BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Material Sciences or related fields
4–10 years’ experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
