We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative **Engineer - Geotechnical** to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise and analytical skills to develop innovative geotechnical solutions for complex engineering projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality results that meet project specifications and exceed expectations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to significant infrastructure and development projects while advancing your professional expertise in geotechnical engineering.

  • Apply scientific principles, theories, and established technologies to analyze and solve geotechnical challenges with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and assessments, interpreting field data to inform design decisions and project strategies
  • Monitor and oversee geotechnical field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and quality standards
  • Prepare, review, and verify technical deliverables including desk studies, interpretative reports, specifications, construction drawings, and design reports
  • Perform geotechnical design work encompassing settlement analysis, retaining wall design, foundation design (shallow and deep), earthworks, and slope stability analysis
  • Utilize geotechnical software and modeling tools to develop and validate design solutions
  • Liaise effectively with geotechnical contractors and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with client expectations, project timelines, and contractual requirements
  • Demonstrate strong technical awareness of design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineering
  • Contribute to team meetings and client presentations, actively sharing insights and proposing innovative solutions
  • Support junior team members through mentoring and collaborative knowledge-sharing
  • Prepare and assist with contractual correspondence and project documentation as required
  • Remain flexible and willing to travel to project sites as needed to support field activities and ensure project success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline (honors degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in geotechnical investigation and design work post-undergraduate degree
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software including GEO5, WALLAP, ALP, SlopeW/Slide, and Plaxis
  • Competency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D for technical drawing and design documentation
  • Strong foundational knowledge of soil and rock mechanics principles and applications
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including settlement analysis, retaining wall design, foundation design, earthworks, and slope stability analysis
  • Excellent understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, comprehensive technical documentation
  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Professional Engineer registration or Chartered status (desirable)
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required by the nature of geotechnical work
  • Commitment to quality assurance and continuous professional development
