About the Role:
This role sits at the heart of our Commercial Insurance (CI) Transformation delivery squad, building and extending platform features using Claude AI as a development accelerator. You will work across the full stack — React/Node.js frontends and Python/Java backend services — to deliver AI-augmented insurance platform capabilities built on a global multi-tenancy model.

Your work will directly shape how our Australian Middle Market business underwrites and manages commercial insurance. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, UX designers and globally distributed engineering teams to translate user stories into production-ready features, leveraging Claude AI for rapid prototyping, code generation and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop full-stack features for the CI platform using Claude-assisted coding methodologies.
• Build and maintain React/Angular frontends and Node.js/Python APIs.
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments.
• Integrate with globally developed platform components and adapt for Australian market requirements.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and platform stability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and UX designers to translate user stories into working features.
• Leverage Claude AI for rapid prototyping, code generation and documentation.
  

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years full-stack development experience (React/Angular + Node.js/Python).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding assistants (Claude, Copilot or similar).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Desirable:

• Insurance or financial services domain experience.
• Experience with AppWorks or similar BPM platforms.
• TypeScript expertise.
• Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience working with offshore development teams.
