Prime Objective

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to be our primary service provider, driving excellence and resolving complex water and process challenges.

This role requires a professional with expertise in the process and water treatment industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site performance of chemical treatment programs. This includes conducting on-site testing, troubleshooting and providing customer support across various applications for our major accounts in

the assigned geographic area. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication are essential.

The Field Service Engineer will report to the Contract Manager and will cover the interior region of Oman and expandable to cover all Oman in case needed.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities extend beyond routine tasks, encompassing a diverse range of activities crucial for maintaining optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

● On-site Operations:

Be located on a rotational basis at the company's interior location.

○ Perform first-line, on-site troubleshooting response and act as a channel to utilize the process support and technical support available from the wider contractor’s team. This shall include sampling and analytical support.

○ Review the chemical injection rates of all treatment chemicals applications under this contract and ensure compliance with the SP1194 (chemicals management specification) in linked with the KPI’s and deliver 100% compliance in submission reports (daily, monthly, quarterly) and QAQC reports.

○ Manage 100% compliance to chemicals 90 days plan

○ Responsible for coordinating Contractor resources (in relation to the scope) and being the point of contact for all Contractor’s onsite activity.

○ Work with the Company’s Company Site Representative / Laboratory Chemists / 3rd party laboratory staff to identify and execute on opportunities to tune plant processes to achieve optimal technical and economic performance.

○ Work with onsite Company or third-party team to identify necessary spares and consumables stocking and ordering schedule.

○ Track KPIs and Value Delivery Projects.

○ Deliver two training courses per year to Company personnels.

○ Oversee all elements of the chemical water treatment programs during this contract.

○ Prepare written recommendations for program changes and improvements.

○ Comply with Company’s safety requirements.

○ Record in writing all activities and all-important developments.

Maintain the client's technical file up to date using a dedicated online platform.

● Reporting and Data Management:

Generate customer reports and process data using the company platform.

○ Monitor stock levels, ensure timely orders, and review chemical injection rates for all production chemicals under contract.

● Client Communication & Collaboration:

Maintain strong verbal and written communication with customers at various levels.

○ Ensure consistent communication with the Company’s Site Representative to ensure successful contract delivery.

○ Collaborate with the local team by participating in meetings to share best practices.

○ Support the Account Manager during business reviews.

● Continuous Improvement & Development:

Actively define and execute value-added ideas.

○ Follow and conduct technical training for operation engineers.

● Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS):

Comply with Veolia’s integrity and safety policies.

○ Report all work-related incidents and near misses to the Line Manager and EHS Manager.

○ Participate in required EHS training.

○ Achieve annual EHS goals assigned to the function.

Qualifications

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

To be qualified for this role, candidates must possess thorough knowledge of all aspects of water treatment chemicals technology or Oil & Gas with appropriate knowledge of remedial practices. The following qualifications are essential:

● Education: BSc in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

● Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.

● Minimum of 5 years' experience in Water Treatment.

● Technical Skills:

Well versed with water treatment processes and applications.

○ Proficiency in data processing and reporting.

○ Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new software applications.

○ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

○ Driven by technical improvements, with a proactive approach to taking initiative.

● Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening).

○ Strong interpersonal skills

○ Service-oriented with an external focus.

○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team (team player).

● Organizational & Business Acumen:

Strong organizational skills.

○ Commercial understanding and interest.

○ High degree of flexibility.

● Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to customer

sites.
