Electrical Engineer

Location: Warwick office (Hybrid / Home-based with occasional Warwick office travel)

Telent is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Network Services team, supporting wireless infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is primarily a home-based role that involves delivering electrical design solutions for telecoms / wireless infrastructure projects, including low voltage systems, earthing, surge protection, and supporting end-to-end design delivery from survey through to handover.

Working Arrangements:

• Primarily home-based with remote working flexibility
• Expected to attend the Warwick office periodically (up to three consecutive days per month), particularly during the first 12 months for onboarding and team integration
• Occasional travel for site visits or meetings, with expenses covered where applicable

Electrical Engineer – What you’ll do:

• Provide electrical design solutions for wireless infrastructure projects (LV systems, earthing, surge & lightning protection)
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, schedules, and reports
• Take ownership of electrical design elements across assigned projects
• Ensure designs are compliant with relevant standards and client requirements
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and technicians
• Report on project progress and support continuous improvement activities
• Support meetings, surveys, and wider project activities as required

Electrical Engineer – Who you are:

You are a motivated Electrical Engineer (or aspiring Engineer) with a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset. You enjoy working as part of a team, take ownership of your work, and are committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

You bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively - key attributes prioritised for this role.

Electrical Engineer – Key Requirements:

• HNC (or similar / higher) in Electrical Engineering
• Understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations
• Experience working in an engineering or design office environment
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver work on time
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Full UK Driving Licence for occasional site visits

Desirable:

• Experience using electrical design software
• Exposure to telecoms / wireless infrastructure environments
