We are seeking a skilled Engineer (CIS Security) to join our client's team and play a critical role in strengthening their infrastructure security posture. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure security solutions—from project implementation and deployment to post-deployment stability and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for project implementation, and delivery of infrastructure security solutions
Ensure the stability and performance of deployed systems, services and applications post-implementation, through continuous monitoring and addressing any emerging issues in a timely manner.
Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings), and continuously maintain the security posture of the infrastructure elements
Contribute to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements
Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products;
Perform other duties as may be required
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications.
Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools
Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Premise DMZ capabilities
Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence.
Practical hands-on experience with systems administration.
Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully
