Job Description


Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes involving machining, assembly, and testing. Provide quotes in a timely manner, as well as evaluate alternatives to provide competitive prices and at the same time ensure margins according to market type, monitor the hit rate of quotes to quantify the value of orders entered against quotes. Creates and analyzes routing in production processes to determine accurate costing. Looking for continuous improvement in the processes carried out.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Product Cost and Meet the established response time for quotes.

  • Record and track the hit rate of quotes Generate alternatives to achieve the target prices by Customers.

  • Ensure minimum margins according to each transaction.

  • Designing production processes by creating manufacturing plans and manufacturing routings that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Co-Ordinate with Sourcing & Finance team for SAP standard cost updates for operations.

  • Conduct time, motion, and process studies using activity analysis, snapshot analysis, work allocation diagrams, and other lean tools and methods.

  • Assist in establishing operational methods, routings and work standards using various measurement techniques

  • Analyze throughput and labour productivity data to determine plant bottle necks and work with the site to eliminate them.

  • Preparing material and equipment lists, cost analysis, and estimated production costs related to the improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree with 2-3 years (or) Diploma with 3-5 Years relevant field experience.

  • Hands on experience in process time study.

  • Proven track record of leading and driving cost reductions in a manufacturing environment utilizing Continuous Improvement Methodologies.

  • Experience in Product costing estimation.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.

  • Experience in SAP ERP systems, MS-Office preferred.

  • Exposure to time/methods study techniques preferred

  • knowledge of Valve manufacturing, testing and CNC Machining.

  • Excellent communication, influencing skills

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
