Qualifications
Coordination of Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Specials and Sales Orders for all product lines. Coordinate and implement items by working with all required departments to timely maintain accurate phase in/out of changes and system maintenance. .
Essential Functions of the Job:Maintain item master data, item branch data, routings, and bills of materials for all products and service parts. Including process, code and maintenance of all superseded parts.
Maintain bills of material changes by reviewing all Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Specials Releases, Sales Orders, Engineering Service Changes, Mark-up Print Changes, and all other communications to manufacturing engineering affecting production and service related parts.
Work order creation for production and rework. Process and print as needed.
Review of parts i.e. consumption, scrap, or rework; excess and obsolete.
Disposition of parts i.e. consumption, scrap, or rework; excess and obsolete.
Communication to necessary departments on scrap and rework so the necessary parties are involved.
ECN implementation after disposition using MRP to insure schedule attainment.
Coordination and tracking of revision control for shop floor requirements per production schedule.
After release of the ECN, tracking the information needed for documentation for the ECN until its completion. Cost Saving ECN's, tracking rework cost to assure disposition if necessary or if rework is feasible.
Hold a weekly ECN meeting with Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, Engineering, Quality, I.E., and Engineering Liaison, and Accounting.
Review, prioritize and delegate work with the responsibility of the project function and the necessity to carry out activities without direction.
Load and revise non-configured Machine bills of material. Notifications for manufactured routings to be loaded and to master scheduler of completion for the release of the work order to drive material in the system.
Cycle counting ECN related parts with report and document with accounting approval to assure inventory accuracies.
Resolve manufacturing engineering issues related to the manufacturing and purchasing of service parts.
Part identification for production and service if parts are available without labeling.
Assist service and engineering in any investigation of old items requested for quotes by service for customers.
Work with the Service Parts Coordinator on phase out of superseded and obsolete items from production and disposition if required.
Research, develop, document, implement, and maintain documentation for the Folio process. Aid and develop the same documentation for other areas.
Create and Maintain ISO procedures for the ECN process and related documentation.
Perform other related duties of similar nature and scope as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Ability to read and understand a blueprint.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED plus a basic knowledge of engineering, mechanical and electrical drawings. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic mechanisms as applied to construction type equipment. A proficiency in Excel, Adobe, and Access is a plus. Candidate must be able to utilize standard business software packages. 5 year experience in the Manufacturing Engineering field.
Working Conditions: Work fifty percent in a climate controlled office as well as in non-climate controlled shop areas. Requires sitting for long periods of time, some standing, walking, stooping/reaching, climbing, manual dexterity, pushing/pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs. Will perform physical labor.
