Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.

ANALYTICS ENGINEER, TECHNICAL OPERATIONS(Business-side role)

todevelopthewaysweleverageand manageAMOS data. AMOS(Swiss AS)is the core ERP system for Technical Operations(Tech OPS) It is used to manageouraircraft,maintenance,engineeringand operational processes

In thisroleyou willimprove the qualityand consistencyof AMOS databydevelopingourwaysof working,buildAMOS and Power BI reports,dashboardsand automations, andimprovethe wayFinnairuses AMOS.

You will beworkingon the businesssidebetween data and operations,asthis role bridgestogetherTech OPS strategic and operational priorities from all stakeholders and the AMOS data; building the best possible solutions for Tech OPS needs while optimizing and standardizing the way we handle data.

In this role, youwill beresponsibleto

  • Develop the ways data is used across Technical Operations.

  • Build and develop AMOS and Power BI reports,dashboardsand data automations for operational needs.

  • Lead,supportand contribute to AMOS development,versionupgrades and related data and analytics projects.

  • Develop data analysis methods together with Tech OPSand ITdepartments.

  • Contribute to improving the quality and consistency of AMOS data.

  • Support, help and coachotherTech OPS analystsin complex data and reporting matters.

  • Act as the analytics-area AMOS Super User, coordinating closely with the AMOS Main User

  • Contribute to developing the use of AIindataanalytics

  • MaintainTech OPSdocumentationfor reports, automations, data models and processes, ensuring continuity and knowledge sharing.

  • Ensure data handlingcomplies withGDPR, data privacy, and relevant data governance policies.

Our expectations:

  • B.Sc.orMScin engineering or another field suited to data work.

  • Proven experience in working with data

  • Strong SQL skills

  • StrongPower BI report buildingskills

  • Understanding oflinksand dataflowsbetweendifferentdatasources

  • Proven experience in working withagentic AI tools (Claude preferred).

  • Ability to coordinate work in matrix effectively;youwillbe thekeysupportforthe AMOS Main Userandthe AMOS Super User network and business stakeholdersacross the Tech OPS departments

  • Good communicationskills; able to explain data and reporting clearly to non-technical colleagues.

  • Good team workingskillsandservice-orientedmindset.

In addition, we highly appreciate:

  • Experience with ERP systemsand data,aviationERPexperience is a major benefit

  • Experience with data integrations and ETL work, Snowflake,PostgreSQL,DBT, GitHub

  • Knowledge of maintenance and supply chain processes,predictive maintenance,aviation industryorLean.

  • Experience of managing data successfully during system upgrades,patchesand new systems implementations.

  • Experience in working with business metrics.

  • Goodunderstanding ofPythonoranother programming language.

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and/or GDPR compliance in a data role.
