Job Identification

We are looking for an HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) who will be responsible for monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements, improving working conditions, supporting departments with H&S guidance and training, ensuring fire protection compliance, supporting incident investigations, and promoting environmental protection requirements across the organization in alignment with local legal standards, Hilla Plant, Iraq.

What We Expect

• Monitor compliance with legislative and other regulatory legal acts related to Health & Safety across the enterprise and departments.
• Study workplace conditions and propose improvements to enhance safety, hygiene, and overall working environment.
• Participate in examination/inspection of equipment, facilities, and installations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with hygiene and sanitary requirements; report non-compliance cases to HR and SC Managers.
• Take responsibility for the overall fire protection condition of the enterprise and ensure compliance with fire safety requirements.
• Provide methodological guidance and support to company subdivisions on H&S matters; organize and deliver personnel training on H&S rules.
• Conduct H&S introductory briefings for newly recruited employees, guests, interns, and business-trip visitors, and periodic briefings for existing personnel.
• Organize certification/attestation of employees, workplaces, and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitary norms and regulations.
• Participate in investigations of industrial accidents and occupational diseases; identify root causes and analyze effectiveness of preventive measures.
• Prepare and submit required reports on time and in the format established by regulatory authorities.
• Know and implement relevant policies, procedures, and instructions in environmental protection, ensuring compliance with local legislation regulating H&S activities.
• Promote awareness among employees about environmental requirements and the consequences of non-compliance.

• English language is a must.

• Strong problem-solving capability in addressing complex workplace challenges.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.
• Demonstrated capability to respond effectively during sudden crises.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and coach employees and stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, compliance mindset, and ability to work across departments.
