Job Description

Title: Engineer
Maintain property and operations of building
Typical Work Conditions: Entire hotel
Equipment Used: Chemicals, ladders, tools for electrical, carpentry and plumbing work, paints and painting tools
Knowledge/Training:
• Fluent English, read and write necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of hand tools and carpentry tools
• Must be able to make repairs to basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Basic maintenance knowledge
• Licenses or certifications desirable but not required

Essential Tasks:
• Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
• Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Installs equipment and appliances.
• Follows local and state building codes.
• Complies with all company safety regulations.
• Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
• Reports any issues to the maintenance manager.
• Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
• Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
• Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
• Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
• Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

• Performs preventive maintenance as requested with a matrix and reports progress to manager upon request.
• Must conduct themselves professionally at all times.
• Uniform must be worn daily, properly and never altered.
