Job Description

We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in Service for our Rebuild Workshop Department in Accra, Ghana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver accurate, first‑time‑right diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds on multiple engine products in line with OEM specifications, minimizing rework and downtime.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex engine issues by correctly applying service manuals, build packs, documented procedures, and digital service systems.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and asset reliability through effective preventative maintenance based on thorough engine condition assessments.
  • Strengthen workshop and field capability by coaching, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to less experienced technicians and apprentices.
  • Contribute to efficient service delivery by reviewing repair plans, parts lists, and work execution while meeting standard repair times.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant service documentation, including work completed records, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and professional working environment by adhering to and reinforcing Health, Safety & Environmental policies during workshop and site activities.
  • Provide reliable support for field service needs, including travelling to customer sites, while representing the business professionally at all times.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong diagnostic capability to translate customer concerns into effective troubleshooting plans, accurately isolate faults, validate repairs, and document outcomes using business systems.
  • Proficiency in using electronic service tools and software to diagnose issues, interpret results, and determine the correct actions for service resolution.
  • Solid understanding of engine system interactions, including electrical and mechanical components, enabling efficient and accurate diagnosis and repair using service publications and measurement tools.
  • Ability to complete quality repairs and maintenance within standard repair times while ensuring accurate service documentation, effective technical escalation, and compliance with repair and reuse guidelines.

Education/ Experience:

  • Mechanical or electro‑mechanical technical skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Good safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and confidence operating company vehicles
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving ability
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
