Job Description
Assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.
We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician - Apprentice to join our Distribution business in (Regina, SK).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling, and performing other basic workshop activities
• Learn Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follow documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance
• Assist with completing required documentation, including work completed records and timesheets through handwritten forms or business systems
• Complete training in line with skill development and business requirements
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues or incidents to supervisors
• Assist with repairs and maintenance on engine and power generation products under supervision
• Support troubleshooting using mechanical, electrical, and electronic service tools
• Assist with diagnosing equipment issues following guided workflows and procedures
• Create and maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
• Escalate technical issues appropriately and document troubleshooting steps
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Minimal workshop experience or basic knowledge of engine products
• Ability to safely use hand tools and shop equipment
• Ability to follow repair procedures, work instructions, and Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
• Basic understanding of diesel engines, power generation equipment, or related products
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe work practices
• Ability to use electronic service tools and business systems
• Strong attention to detail when completing service documentation
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to safety
• Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively
• Willingness to learn through training and hands-on experience
• Values different perspectives and works respectfully with others

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Minimal level of work shop experience required or basic level knowledge of engine products
Basic mechanical knowledge
