Travel Percentage: NegligibleUnder direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.
This position will be assigned to the Ralph Ellison Library, which is located at 2000 NE 23rd Street in Oklahoma City, OK  73111.
The hiring salary for this position is $21.79 hourly.  This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  This position is classified as non-exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work the following days: Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm, Wednesday from 12:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday from 9:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm and a rotating weekend shift.*

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and

Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
- One year of customer service experience.

- Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Experience building sustainable community relationships.
- High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
