At Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services, we're hiring Engagement Managers to lead cross-functional teams — spanning AWS, external partners, and customers — through complex cloud adoption journeys. These engagements focus on removing constraints and accelerating migrations to AWS, enabling customers to realize measurable business outcomes.
As a trusted advisor, you will bridge business objectives with technical solutions by translating customer needs into clear requirements and actionable roadmaps. You will proactively identify project gaps, manage risks, and guide stakeholders through cloud adoption — accelerating product launches and strengthening governance on AWS.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
You will start many mornings reviewing engagement status with your customer's product and development teams, aligning sprint priorities and unblocking dependencies. From there you might facilitate a product visioning workshop, walk through a go-to-market timeline with business stakeholders, or conduct a risk review with your AWS delivery team. In between, you will coach stakeholders through Agile ceremonies and refine financial analyses that tie product decisions back to business impact. This is a customer-facing role, and you will visit client sites as needed to deliver professional services.

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
