Job Description

Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in risk management, data analysis, or a similar analytical role, preferably within financial services or a collections environment.

  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, and SAS.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk principles, collection processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine risk models and segmentation strategies to identify high-risk accounts and optimize collection efforts.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to customer payment behavior and collection outcomes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing collection strategies and recommend adjustments based on performance data and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with collections operations, credit, and other departments to implement and test new strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and insights on collection performance, risk exposure, and strategy effectiveness to management.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in risk management and collections.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policy and procedure documentation related to collection risk.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree is a plus.
