Job Description

Build relationships. Deliver memorable events. Inspire philanthropy.

We're looking for a passionate relationship-builder to join Ormond College's Advancement team.

Working closely with the Philanthropy Manager, you'll lead the delivery of our community engagement and events program while strengthening relationships with alumni, parents, donors and friends of the College. You'll also support donor stewardship, scholarships and storytelling that inspires giving and helps shape the future of Ormond through the Campaign for Ormond.

In this role, you'll:

  • Build meaningful relationships with alumni, parents, donors and the wider Ormond community.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of Ormond's annual calendar of community engagement and fundraising events.
  • Manage donor stewardship for gifts up to $25,000 and support the College's scholarship program.
  • Capture and share stories that demonstrate the impact of philanthropy through donor communications and campaign initiatives.
  • Support the Campaign for Ormond through engagement activities, events, relationship management and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You're a natural relationship-builder who thrives on variety. One day you'll be planning a flagship event, the next meeting with donors, coordinating scholarship stewardship or developing content that brings someone's generosity to life.

You're organised, collaborative and proactive, with a genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences that strengthen communities and inspire philanthropy.

You'll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Communications, Business, Arts or a related discipline, and/or at least three years' experience in community engagement, events, fundraising, advancement or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience building trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience planning and delivering high-quality events from concept through to evaluation.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop engaging donor and community communications.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CRM systems to maintain accurate records and support reporting.
  • Experience working within a university, school, college or not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded.
