Engagement Access Strategy Lead

Purpose:

This role will articulate and co-create the Market Access (MACS) strategy for launches and new indications with Bayer priorities, supporting Engagement or Partnership Chapters portfolio including Oncology, Cardiology, Specialty Medicine, iWHC and Radiology. Also establish strong partnership with Chapter lead and Product Team Lead´s (PT); Co-creating strong value propositions of Chapter key products; guarantee execution of value driven MACS strategies within the global, region and local plans.

This function is accountable for indirect leadership in Health Policy & Advocacy, HEOR, pricing and reimbursement outcomes of all Bayer portfolio, reason why leads and coordinates actions with all areas in the local organization, under a comprehensive perspective, and the MACS regional and global teams as required.

This position will provide support as VACC leader to Product Team’s, SAM’s and KAM’s in strategic thinking capabilities, developing institutional initiatives based on clear customer needs and co-creating value-based relationships with critical external stakeholders in mayor public institutions and decentralized accounts in Mexico. It will become a change management agent for the creation of a market access mindset and build reliability in MACS within the Enabling and Partnership Chapters, where the key objective is to be perceived as strategic partner for clients in the government setting through sustainable and co-created projects.

This position is responsible for guarantee full access of Bayer portfolio (in-line and pipeline products) at government market by developing a differentiated strategy within product chapters and by demonstrating best value proposals for KDM & KOL in all public institutions, based on the customer needs under a disease management perspective, establishing an approach “beyond the pill”.

Key Outcomes:

  • Launch and expand new indication products has a clear access strategy.
  • All key launches and new indications have guaranteed inclusion in the National Compendium (HTA) by demonstrating our value proposals based on robust clinical and economic evidence.
  • Key launches and new indications are listed with full access in IMSS, ISSSTE, OPD IMSS BIENESTAR, DESCNETRALZED Institutions thanks to a co-created best Strategic Access Plan and value proposals.
  • All access technical functions are coordinated and lead by the incumbent of this position (Pricing, HEOR, Commercial, SAMs…).
  • All products accomplished the best negotiation output contracts under consolidated public contracts and tenders.
  • All products comply with global pricing and access policies.
  • Identified and incorporated needs of clients and stakeholders for the co-creation of portfolio management strategies in their life cycle.
  • Relevant and highly strategically important members of the product teams in which they participate in the achievement of the outcomes with a holistic approach.

Skillset:

  • Knowledge of Mexico’s public healthcare system is required.
  • Knowledge of pharmacoeconomics, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Two years’ experience preparing value propositions and submissions to the General Health Council, HTA, and major Mexican institutions (IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS-Bienestar).
  • Degree in Business Administration or Actuarial Science; preference for a Master’s in Health Economics.
